The program he tuned into focused on veterans, and the 39-year-old helicopter pilot wounded in Afghanistan couldn’t believe what he heard. A new organization, Pathway to Business Success, was offering grants to Florida veterans looking to start their own business after serving in post 9-11 combat.

Our mission is to provide Florida’s entrepreneurial veterans, who have served in combat in Afghanistan or Iraq, with the funds they will need to start or grow their own business when they return from combat. Many of these men and women, to whom our country owes so much, face enormous challenges when they return to the United States. They are people who have proven themselves time and again in extremely difficult circumstances, who have the drive and determination to succeed, but don’t necessarily have skills that translate to gainful employment, particularly in the current job market.

To make their transition easier, Veterans’ Pathway has designed a program that raises funds for unique Monetary Grants − with NO FEES, NO INTEREST AND NO PAY-BACK REQUIREMENT – and awards grants to qualified applicants who exhibit the entrepreneurial spirit necessary to run a successful business. These grants are particularly helpful for those who have already started a business, but don’t have the two-year experience under their belt that many other business loan programs require.
